Measurement of occupational exposures

Any work that involves hazardous materials can result in health issues for employees. The Hazardous Materials Ordinance obligates employers to protect their employees from health risks when handling such materials.

To identify and assess such risks, it is often necessary to measure the concentrations of hazardous materials dissipated in the air workers breathe at their workplace.

Our trained employees have comprehensive expertise in completing such measurements, analysing the samples taken using highly modern technology and assessing the results. Depending on the issues in question, we use certified sampling systems and media to take samples. Modern laboratory equipment and experienced and qualified personnel ensure we can offer a broad range of different tests.

We carry out exposure measurements for the following material groups and substances, among others:

  • Dusts (total and respirable) including welding fumes
  • Dust contents (in particular heavy metals)
  • Organic solvents
  • Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH) and other organic substances
  • Oil mist and DEE (diesel engine emissions)
  • Cooling lubricants
  • Inorganic gases such as CO, CO₂ and different inorganic acids
  • We can offer other materials upon request.

Upon request by our customers, we can offer an evaluation of the hazardous materials based on the Technical Rules for Hazardous Substances (TRGS), in this case TRGS 402, and other regulations. We are happy to advise you in advance on these issues and prepare a free offer for you adapted to your needs.
