Since June 2021, we at Tritech have added a new member to our test chamber fleet. Even before the decline in orders caused by the pandemic, we were facing the challenge of not being able to meet some of our customers’ requests as fully as we would have liked.
Sometimes there was a lack of testing capacity, and sometimes the test items were too large for the requested storage. As a service provider, our top priority is to satisfy our customers and thereby demonstrate the quality of our work.
We aim to be a reliable and committed partner for our customers – so we wanted to create a solution specifically for the tests we were unfortunately unable to accept for the reasons mentioned above. This solution is our new cyclic corrosion test chamber TLC 750, which moved in with us in May under the name “RoSI.” Why Rosi? That’s easy to explain. We have many of these chambers, all with more or less similar and rather cumbersome model names that are not easy to remember. It is much easier to assign testing equipment by name. You remember the name of a chamber just as you remember the names of your colleagues. And in the end, the test chambers are like colleagues – they support us in our daily work, sometimes have their moods, and need to be treated well.
And what exactly does Rosi do for us? Rosi tests our customers’ components in cyclic corrosion tests. The cyclic corrosion test is a procedure that simulates various environmental conditions in cycles – dry and warm, humid and warm, ambient climate, and salt-containing atmospheres such as those found near coastal areas. We mainly carry out these tests for the automotive industry. Over the past ten to fifteen years, these tests have become increasingly complex, so they can no longer be performed manually. Whereas we used to move test items between different chambers, we now require programmable test chambers that can perform test cycles automatically. Rosi can do that. And Rosi is really large. We have a testing space that can accommodate components up to 1.50 m in length. This allows us not only to store complete trim ranges and large radiator grilles, but also chassis components, suspension struts, front and rear axle dampers, and even entire rear seats. This is very convenient and is highly appreciated by our customers.
Together with Rosi and all her colleagues, we would be delighted to carry out tests for you as well and to convince you of our work. Put us to the test, challenge us – and perhaps your components will soon be tested by Rosi in our corrosion testing center.
