With the start of 2020, a new chapter begins in the nearly 100-year history of this family-owned business based in South Westphalia. The group is the first company in Siegen to adopt the new European legal form, the SE (Societas Europaea).
Horn & Co employs around 500 people across Europe.
As a well-functioning network of the four business areas Industrial Services, Minerals Recovery, Products, and Analytics, the group pursues the goal of realizing a closed material cycle in the context of raw material recycling and acting as a reliable service provider for auxiliary processes in industry.
While the Industrial Services segment, through the element of “real services,” essentially guarantees process reliability and resource conservation for customers, the Minerals Recovery and Products segments – as “Europe’s most sustainable refractory producer” – make a positive contribution to CO2 savings, professional and legally compliant disposal, and significant resource conservation.
In the Analytics segment as well, the group is committed to providing customers with a broad spectrum of analyses, fast turnaround times for results, and a high level of expertise in consulting based on analytical findings.
Horn & Co. Holding SE operates under a dualistic system consisting of a Management Board and a Supervisory Board, in line with German stock corporation law. The Management Board consists of Mr. Argjend Kameraj and Dr. Lars Füchthohann. Both have previously held management positions at Horn & Co. for many years.
In addition to successfully addressing the necessary succession planning, the structural adjustments required due to the company’s rapid growth have also been implemented. The result brings advantages for both employees and customers – namely stability at an internationally oriented level.
